The Center for Community Health Partnerships (CCHP) at Columbia University Medical Center and Community Voices at Morehouse School of Medicine are hosting a national conference on community health workers (CHWs). Community health workers have emerged as a crucial and viable component of the healthcare delivery system in the United States. Their educational and networking activities in underserved communities have been proven to reduce emergency room visits and connect people in need with essential basic healthcare.
